DS-4000 is the ultimate slide switch just like your old microcassette tape recorder, with instant tactile feedback that you're in record or not, without even having to look at the recorder. Simple controls, but extremely powerful. Always stays charged! Long life built in rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries give up to 15 hours use on a single charge; simply return it to its cradle every day or two for recharging (similar to a cell phone). If you decide not to use the rechargeable batteries, you can also use regular alkaline "AAA" penlight batteries. Also when you're in the field or visiting another person's office, you can always email your recordings by simply plugging it into any PC's USB port (it will look like a USB mass storage or thumb drive to the PC) and attach the dictations as email and send them to your secretary. Your secretary can work across the hall, or even at home!

Multiple folders on the recorder allow you to organize your dictation any way you like and have it mirrored to the transcriptionist. For example, maybe you designate the first folder "A" for Diagnoses, Folder "B" for Correspondence, folder "C" for Patient Follow-ups, and they'll all be sent instantly to different places (via your local office network [LAN], or via email to an off-site transcriptionist working from home or at another office, or even to your own personal email for archival purposes).

Add our Start-Stop Universal Transcription System, and this package will be your complete solution. Start-Stop will allow your transcriptionists to easily playback your dictation files under foot pedal control, while they type in their favorite word processor. A built-in Job Manager will allow them to keep track of all the dictations and mark them as done when they are complete. Once they�re finished, they simply email the files right back to you, and that�s it!
